Former president, Christian & Missionary Alliance
"My friends, Pastor John Soper and wife Mimi, have blessed the Body of Christ with developing Mission 119. This study tool gives an individual, small group or an entire congregation the ability and encouragement to acquire a comprehensive understanding and application of the Scriptures. The flexibility and format of Mission 119 is a benefit to keep a person engaged. I personally like to hear Pastor Soper's insights on the daily Bible readings and the additional recommended Bible study helps. You will expand your love for the Lord and his Word as you participate in Mission 119."
My name is Izzi Elliott. I am a family physician/obstetrician working at Bongolo Hospital in Gabon. I’m sure that as a CMA pastor, you know of the mission here. Though I am not CMA, I’m seconded from the Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship, I have come to know and love the Alliance through my time here.Show more

As I journey with Dr. Soper through Mission 119, my appreciation for this fantastic tool continues to increase. It is perfect for both individual and small group Bible study, providing rich background and exposition while progressing at a manageable pace. Pastor Soper simplifies difficult passages of Scripture while allowing the reader/listener to interact with the Holy Spirit to apply truth to everyday life.
Mission 119 has been an invaluable resource to ACAC. We packaged it as a 91-week congregational journey and reinforced the weekly reading assignments from the pulpit. As a result, over 2,000 adults in our ethnically diverse congregation developed the habit of daily biblical study- encouraged and assisted by John’s brief but insightful audio commentary. That’s why we are repeating the journey. I heartily recommend Mission 119 to any pastor individual or congregation with a hunger to know the Word of God and the God of the Word.

Today, I finished Mission 119 and I'm heeding your call to let you know how it has impacted me. So much in my life has changed since I started the journey with you. I got married, moved across the country (from CO to NJ), and started a new job in ministry at Princeton Alliance Church. In the midst of all that change and transition, my times in the word remained constant. God's word is alive and active, but also a steady foundation. I've been reflecting on how this journey through the Word has changed me, and I wish I could talk to my old self from two years ago to truly gauge the differences, but here are a few things that come to mind:Show more
We planted Building on the Rock Community Church in 2005, and quickly grew from a core group of just four people to 300 hundred. Exciting outreaches, awesome fellowship, great youth ministries, dynamic worship and hundreds of conversions. Our annual report recorded over a hundred baptisms in those first two years.Show more

“Mission 119 has changed my life. It has been such a powerful framework for me to re-connect to God and his plan for my life and the lives of my children…”
“..99% of the time, turning to Mission 119 is the first thing I do when I arrive at my office. I have seen myself grow spiritually and I will grow more in the next 91 weeks because I’m starting again!...."

Good Morning Pastor John, I hope all is going well and that you are well on your way to recovery. I finished Mission 119 a few weeks ago and then started a Bible Reading Program to read the Bible in (1) year. I could not concentrate reading instead of listening as I had done through M119. All that to say I just finished day 1 of week 1 of M119. You have me back Pastor John, I missed it for those few weeks. I am looking forward to learning new Bible truths as I go through the study a second time. Please say hi to Mimi and I wish you both a Blessed New Year.
