What does John do at Ridgeway?

As the Senior Pastor, John leads the staff in serving the needs of the family of God at Ridgeway in making disciples who share the values and priorities of Jesus. His primary responsibilities include preaching and teaching the Word of God and overseeing the development of new and existing leaders for the work of completing the Great Commission and Bringing Back the King.

About John

John has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the King's College (NY) and an M.Div. from the Theological Seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church. In 2011 he was awarded a Dr. of Divinity degree from Toccoa Falls College. For the last 40 years he has been married to his wife Mimi and they have three children and ten amazing grandchildren living in New York, New Jersey and the Australian Capital Territory.

Since 1973, he has served in the Christian and Missionary Alliance as a Church Planter, Pastor, and adjunct professor at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY. He has been a lecturer at the Alliance Theological College in Canberra Australia and also served as the Field Director for the C&MA in that country. He served for 11 years as the District Superintendent of the Metropolitan District and for an additional five years as the Vice President for Church Ministries of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Read historical books and biographies of men and women who have helped to change the world, and "hang out" with my wife, children and grandchildren.

Something you did not know about John

He had a part-time job in college playing the piano in a jazz club in New York City's Greenwich Village.
